General information

When and where will USU World 2020 take place?

USU World will take place at Vienna House Andel's Berlin from Wednesday, April 29 to Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Are there directions how to get there and is parking space available?

Vienna House Andel's Berlin is centrally located and easily accessible by car or public transport.
It has its own underground car park with 550 parking spaces.

Can I use WLAN during the conference?

Yes, WiFi is available in the building. All you need is a WiFi-enabled device. You will receive the access data when you register and in the event brochure.

Is there an event app with all information on the conference’s agenda?

Yes. The event app provides participants with all information on the conference’s agenda, the individual events, rooms and speakers. It can be downloaded in spring 2020. Among other things, you can use it to assemble your own individual program.

Is there an evening event at the conference?

On the 1st day of the event, the USU Group traditionally invites you to an atmospheric evening event. Look forward to an interesting program and take the opportunity to get to know each other better and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.

Where can I leave my coat or luggage?

A cloakroom area is available at USU World. Alternatively, as a hotel guest you can drop off your luggage at the hotel reception desk.

Are the materials from all presentations available after the congress?

You can download the electronic conference documents (presentation slides, partner information, photos) from our homepage after the event. You will receive the access data for the download in a separate e-mail about 1 week after the event.

Registration and participation conditions

Do I have to register for USU World beforehand?

Yes, prior registration is necessary for organizational reasons. You can register until March 31, 2020 (participation only). 

To register, please use the registration form from 14th of October.

Participation in the conference is possible up to and including 20 December 2019 according to the Early Bird conditions for 400 euros (plus VAT). From 21 December to 31 March 2020, you can purchase your conference ticket for 600 euros (plus VAT).

The conference ticket includes all meals and drinks as well as the evening event.

You will receive a discount of 50 euros per ticket if more than three people from one company register for USU World 2020. Please click on "Group discount" on the registration form.

Where do I obtain confirmation that I have registered?

After registration you will receive an email from info(at)usu.email. The requirement for this is that you have entered your personal e-mail address during registration. This e-mail confirms your registration.

I can only take part on one day. Do I still have to pay the whole attendance fee?

In principle, we advise you to take part on both days of the conference so that you can network as much as possible and get the most specialist information out of the event. The fee stated in the Terms and Conditions of Participation is charged to all participants, regardless of how long they attend and what they eat and drink. Unfortunately, we cannot offer special terms for anyone wishing to attend for a shorter time. 

I have already booked, but unfortunately cannot now take part. Can I cancel my participation?

Yes. However, cancellations must generally be received in writing (by e-mail to events(at)usu.de) and are only possible at no charge up to and including March 27, 2020. After this date, one half of the attendance fee(s) shall remain due and payable. If the person registered to participate does not attend or if a cancellation is made on  April 1st , 2020 or later, the entire attendance fee(s) shall still remain due and payable. However, we would be pleased to welcome a substitute participant at no extra charge.

Can participation be transferred to another person?

A substitute participant can be named at any time free of charge. Please let us know by sending us an e-mail. We need the full name, contact data and billing address of the substitute participant.
